With the release of its newest SUV, the CX-30, Mazda's goal was a crossover that hit the sweet spot between subcompact and compact. And when you look at the responses from consumers and critics alike, the automaker succeeded in a big way, with Edmunds.com editors listing it at the very top of their X-Small SUV list.*

This "Goldilocks" crossover adds a little extra interior space while maintaining conveniently small space requirements. For Conroe drivers who need more utility than a subcompact, while still being able to navigate congested traffic and crowded parking lots, the Mazda CX-30 is just right.

2021 Updates

The Mazda CX-30 is set to enter its sophomore year sometime in August 2020. And although it has only been around for one year, it's already getting a name change. The new nameplate, Mazda CX-30 2.5 S, alludes to its 2.5-liter four-cylinder SKYACTIV-G® powerplant that boasts more horsepower than any model in its class. Paired with the innovative SKYACTIV-DRIVE six-speed automatic transmission, the direct-injected, high-compression engine makes 186 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque.

The other big update for the 2021 CX-30 2.5 S comes from the infotainment system. Previously part of the Select package and higher, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration will join the 8.8-inch touchscreen display as standard equipment. Additionally, all models will come with a three-year subscription to Mazda Connected Services. Using the MyMazda app on your smartphone, this feature allows you to remotely lock the doors, start the engine, set climate controls, and much more.
